My Q2 keeps showing the message, "homeportal has stopped". The weather refreshes continuously.

I am a rookie at this, so I am looking for an easy step solution to resolve it. I only have the use of my handheld matricom remote to deal with it.

Hello please be advised by the following instructions to resolve your weather refresh issues.

Required for this process,

• G-box Q/Q²
• An empty SD card (formatted to FAT32 with at least 2 GB of memory and no more than 32 GB of memory)
• Computer with SD card slot
• Google Chrome browser (using Internet Explorer or safari to download these files can cause complications with this process)
First start by downloading the firmware files. You can download the firmware by clicking the following link.

Once you have downloaded all 4 files, you will copy and paste them onto your empty SD card.

(there must be no other files on the SD card)

After you have placed the files onto your SD card, you will begin the toothpick method.

1. Disconnect power from G-box Q².
2. Insert SD card with firmware files into card slot on the side of your G-box Q².
3. Insert toothpick or similar object into "reset" hole on the back of your G-box Q², until you feel a click.
4. Once you feel the click of the reset button, hold it down with toothpick while reconnecting the power to your G-box Q².
(you will hold this down for roughly 20-30 seconds or until you see your screen change.)

This should complete the Re-Flash.

After I downloaded the file, my antivirus warned me about it so I wasn't able to use it. Quite a strange thing. Spet a while looking for what the cause may be and turned out that I just have a bad antivirus... Looking at avast premium review now. Really an expensive one but I am just sick of not being able to use files downloaded from trustworthy sources.
